This new design features the spiral flute design. The spiral flutes allow the bit to cut 27% faster than standard step drill bits. Automatically deburrs while you drill! The cobalt M42 flutes cut through 16-gauge steel like it was butter, and the spiral design pulls chips out instead of clogging up. I drilled about 40 holes in a junction box project and it still bites hard.
