Snapped a rusty 1" pipe nipple flush with the wall and this walked it right out. The spiral bit grabbed on the first try with a 17/32" pilot hole. Way less swearing than my old extractor set.

Grabbed this after stripping the head off an old drain plug, and it bit into the 7/8" stub on the first try. The spiral flutes hold tight instead of slipping, though you really do need the 17/32" pilot hole for it to seat right.
